What is Cool the Earth Program (CTEP)?

The Cool the Earth Program (CTEP) is a Community-Based Tree Plantation Initiative launched by the Participatory Village Development Program (PVDP), Sindh.

A Climate Change Mitigation Program

CTEP is a massive participatory tree plantation initiative in the villages of Tharparkar, initiated by PVDP. The program will:

• 🌍Begin in Tharparkar and expand across Sindh.
• 🌳Engage citizens and corporate entities to pledge and sponsor trees.
• 🤝Involve the community in watering and nurturing the trees.

🎯 PVDP’s Role:

Manage the program by raising nurseries, training the community, supervising tree plantations, monitoring maintenance, and facilitating cash transfers under the PES model.

🌟 Target:

Plant and nurture 1 million trees in 2 years in the Tharparkar region.
